Current Fishing Report 2-23-16 Table Rock and Taneycomo Lakes Branson Mo.

2-23-16 Current Branson lakes Fishing Report  White River Outfitters Guide Service Taneycomo trout fishing has really been good the last several weeks.  With mild weather and a constant water flow both the upper lake restricted zone and the upper catch and keep zone from Lilleys' Landing to the dam have been producing very quality rainbow and brown trout, not only in numbers, but also in size. Shad flies, jigs, san juan worms, and egg patterns have held steady in the restricted zone with lots of fish caught and released per day.  Its not uncommon now to catch 30 to 50 trout per day in the restricted zone.  Really fun fishing. In the keep zone from Fall Creek to Lilleys' it is currently very simple to catch eating size trout in quantity .  I guided both zones last week and we averaged over 40 fish per 4 hr. trip.  Your limit of rainbows can be kept below Fall Creek.  A Missouri trout limit is 4 trout per person per tag. Table Rock Lake Fishing Report 2-23-16 Lake level is 914.3 Surface temp ranging from 46 to 55 Clarity from off color in the main lake portions from Kings River to Kimberling City and clear in the Long Creek, Upper James River and White River arms. Fish are being caught at a decent pace depending on the fisherpersons ability and knowledge of the lake.  Best bite has been in the clear water sections.  Crank baits early in Crayfish patterns, such as the Storm Wiggle Wart and the Spro RK Crawler have been the best producers.   As the morning get later, most fisherman are switching to the Umbrella rig and fishing bluffends and transitions.  If wind is available there is beginning to be a moderate jerk bait bite in the same areas.  Best bite has been on the Spro McStick in Blue Bandit and Old Glory and the Megabass 110 plus 1 in Table Rock custom colors.  I'm using pearl/chartruse, by Tim Hughes Custom Baits. Walleye and a few crappie are being caught by trolling in the Upper White River to Beaver Town, and up the Kings River to the 86 bridge.  Best baits have been the Flicker Shad in Black and Silver.
