Setting here watching the snow blow, I thought it would be a good time to tell you all about our 2011 Kodiak Alaska trip.
Phil Lilley and I will be guiding on Kodiak Island Alaska this year from July 15 thru August 20th. There are four weeks available for booking. We currently have 3 weeks that are very tentitive filled, but do not hesitate to ask about any of the 4 weeks in the period.
Our base of operation on Kodiak will be the Old’s River Inn, Restaurant and Cabins. This is a new faculity with full meal service and individual cabins with 2 beds per cabin. Full HD TV and WiFi are available. All meals, lodging , and guide service are provided in the basic packages, and there are addition field trips and add-ons for those that wish to do that. WE can design pacakges for sight-seeing for the ladies to explore the rich history of Kodiak. It is a photographers dream, with its cliffs and miles of ocean front.
Add-on’s could include Ocean Kayaking, Island tours, meuseum tours, shopping and dining, Bear and Glacier flight seeing, ATV adventures, and more.
This is a family trip and is very sutiable for women, children and more experenced adults to any age.
Trips are from Friday to Friday. We are only booking groups of friends or family this year so everyone will know and be comfortable with each other.
This is however an Alaskan Fishing Adventure, and it will be very good. Two days will be spent on shallow saltwater fishing for King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and Black and Goldeneye Snapper.
3 full days of Fishing will be either fly or spincast fishing on the Kodiak Road River System. We will fish the river mouths and bays for Dollie Varden and Fresh Chrome Bright Pink Salmon coming in from the Salt. The salmon are in the 4 to 8 pound class and are just flat chrome torpodeos. Huge catches of these fish can be made daily and they are a blast, on either spinning tackle or fly.
All equipment is furnished and will be Orvis on the Fly and Shimano on the Spinning gear. All new and ready to go.
Price on this trip depend on the number of people in your party and weather they are couples or single fishermen. We can take up to 8 guests per week. 6 however is a very nice number.
If you have 6 or more folks wanting to have a wonderful Alaskan experence with someone they know, give me a call for a quote, and we will visit about what you want to do as far as a base trip and then the other side trips we have to offer. We will taylor the trip for you.
Looking forward to hearing from ya.
